Questions people ask

Is there really no subscription?
Not for individuals. Every feature is included on every account, permanently: unlimited cloud projects, version history, sharing, live embeds, repository sync, export, and the MCP server. The only thing you ever pay for is AI generation, in credits you buy once. The one subscription that exists is the team workspace, for a shared budget and shared folders.
What is a credit?
One unit of AI work. A diagram generated from a prompt costs 1 credit, an AI edit on the canvas or over MCP costs 2, a detailed generation 3, a data import 1, and a repository sync 2, and only when the repository actually changed. Opening, editing by hand, exporting, sharing and embedding never cost anything.
Do credits expire?
No. A balance bought today is still there next year. There is no monthly reset, no renewal, and nothing to cancel.
What happens when I run out?
New AI generation pauses. That is all. Every diagram stays open and editable by hand, exports keep rendering, public links and embeds keep serving, collaborators keep their access, and repository connections keep the diagrams they already produced. Buy credits when you want to generate again.
Why does the price per credit change?
Volume. The rate is set by how many credits you buy at once and applies to every credit in the purchase, so a larger pack costs less per credit. The slider shows both the total and the per-credit price before checkout, and the checkout charges exactly what the slider showed.
What if a generation fails?
It is refunded automatically, as its own line in your statement. An AI edit that changes nothing is refunded the same way.
Do new accounts get credits?
Yes, a few, once per email address, so you can generate something real and judge the output before buying any. The scratch canvas is free to try without an account at all.
How does the team plan work?
One flat monthly price, held by the owner, for up to 5 seats. It opens a shared workspace with folders and restricted folders, and a pool of 500 credits a month that every member draws on before their own. Creating a workspace and inviting people is free; billing starts when the owner activates it, and it can be cancelled from the billing portal at any time.
Can I get an invoice?
Every purchase comes with a receipt from Polar, our payment partner, and business details can be added at checkout. Credits are a one-off purchase, so there is one invoice per purchase and never a recurring charge.

The full rules, including what a repository sync costs and when refunds happen, are in the billing documentation.
